RED STATE AND BLUE STATE BOURBONS HIT THE MARKET
By Michael Hepworth
Los Angeles,CA(Spiritsman)12/12/11/—Heaven Hill Distilleries in Bardstown, Kentucky, are just about to release two limited Edition American Bourbons-Red State and Blue State, just in time for the red hot political season that kicks off in Iowa on January 3. These 80 proof bourbons will be retailing for $15.99 for the 750ml bottle.
This novel marketing scheme was concocted by the Heaven Hill team, an the idea is to separate drinkers of bourbon based on their political affiliation, but a this point they have no plans to release a bottle geared towards independents. The Father and Son team of Parker and Craig Beam are the master distillers in charge of production, and they have produced a well rounded bourbon that will go well with political gatherings.
Heaven Hill is America’s largest independent family owned and operated distillery, and the second largest holders of aging American Whiskey in the world. This particular version s made from grains using the seven generation old family yeast strain and goes back to a time of the very first political election in the USA.
The attractive packaging will be featuring the traditional elephant and donkey mascots of both political parties, as well as the designation “America’s Native Spirit”, as bourbon was declared in a 1954 act of Congress. The bottles also include an upscale capsule closure with the Red Sate and Blue State identification and the party mascot around the capsule.
