Guillotine Vodka touts its vodka as being A Cut Above. An interesting double entendre referencing the blade of a guillotine and the claim of something being noticeably superior to others of it’s type, in this case, vodka.
Research of Guillotine Vodka yielded some interesting differences in the ingredients and methods used in the fermentation/distilling of this vodka.
Where as other vodkas are made from pretty predictable ingredients, i.e., potatoes or a number of various grains, both Guillotine Heritage Vodka and Guillotine Vodka Originale are surprisingly made from grapes! And, not just any grapes, only Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay grapes from the Champagne region of France are used.
These grapes are picked and de-seeded by hand, pressed and slowly fermented/distilled. This traditional French process enables the subtleties of the combination of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay grapes to manifest, thereby producing vodka that has an unexpected, subtle flavor not found in vodkas on the market today. In other words, it’s “A Cut Above” the other premium vodkas customers have been accustomed to drinking.
Guillotine Heritage Vodka, Silver Medal Rated 85 Points retails for approximately $80.00, flavors/tastes have been described as caramel, oaky, walnut, toasted sugar, and a hint of mustard. The amber/golden color beautifully enhances the visual appeal of Guillotine Heritage Vodka.
Guillotine Vodka Originale comes in at the lower price point of approximately $55 with taste opinions including: pungent, delicate profile, soft and mild aromas, lovely, surprising fragrance.
Why not do your own taste test by enjoying both of these premium vodkas straight or mix it up a little by using Guillotine Vodka to create your own version of the vodka drink favorites on the restaurant and bar scene.
