HELL OR HIGH WATER DEBUTS SPRING COCKTAIL MENU

(Louisville, Kentucky) (Spiritsman0 4/13/19/–– The weather is warming up and with that Hell or High Water, the discreet bar located on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row unveils its new spring cocktail menu. While the Kentucky Derby is over, it is still a perfect time to celebrate Kentucky’s horse racing heritage with “Fast Track” (Islay scotch, bourbon, pear liqueur, black peppercorn, amaretto, Corazon bitters) and “Day at the Races” a take on the mint julep with Old Forester 1920, peach lavender cordial, and plenty of mint.

Pay homage to F. Scott Fitzgerald who spent considerable time in Louisville with “This Side of Paradise” a riff on the Pimm’s Cup that includes gin, Pimm’s, Campari, cucumber reduction, Suze liqueur, and lemon juice. The “Easy Does It” features Kentucky Proud produce with London Dry Gin, Cucumber Infused Vodka, Yellow Chartreuse, Maraschino cherry, lemon, and celery bitters. And as the days grow warmer and the nights are more humid, cool off with the “Devil’s Advocate” a boozy take on a Root Beer Float with rye, Rammazotti liqueur, vermouth, Cherry Heering liqueur, and more, topped with Coca-Cola and an egg white foam.

The spring cocktail list was designed by beverage director Matt Brown. Take a full look at the menu here. Hell or High Water is led by brother-sister duo and Louisville natives, Stirling and Maud Welch. Though the menu has been completely updated, concepts for the “Hell” and “High Water” sides remain the same, with “Hell” being stronger, more spirit-driven cocktails and “High Water” sporting refreshing, brighter, and lighter beverages.

“Springtime is when the beauty of Kentucky comes alive and we wanted this menu to celebrate the variety of our Commonwealth’s wonderful farm-fresh produce and its heritage,” said Maud Welch. “While Hell or High Water is a cozy hideaway during winter, we invite patrons below Whiskey Row to escape the heat and enjoy our new refreshing cocktails.”

Along with cocktails, Hell or High Water offers light bar bites, such as charcuterie, cheese and Cellar Door chocolates. The bar has several unique event spaces available for rental and is open to a full buyout as well. Buyouts can include catered meals with Hell or High Water’s culinary partners – Farm to Fork Catering and RYE Restaurant. For event inquiries, contact info@hellorhighwaterbar.com.
