Buffalo, New York (Spiritsman) 11/29/17/-Tommyrotter Distillery Debuts Whiskey Offerings with Napa Valley Heritage Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Triple Barrel American Whiskey This fall marks Tommyrotter Distillery’s foray into brown spirits with the release of their Triple Barrel American Whiskey and limited edition Napa Valley Heritage Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey. A small-batch distillery based in Buffalo, New York, Tommyrotter has garnered acclaim for their award-winning gin and vodka offerings. Tommyrotter’s whiskeys will highlight the distillery’s ongoing dedication to producing premium craft spirits by hand.
A blend of three different bases — two Indiana bourbons and one Tennessee whiskey — the Triple Barrel American Whiskey (46% ABV) is a light, sweet spirit ideal for sipping or mixing into cocktails. Aged in two types of white American oak barrels and finished in a red wine French oak barrel, this whiskey has soft hints of cherry, citrus, and honey. Vanilla, caramel, and oak spice come through on the finish. The Triple Barrel American Whiskey will be available in CT and NY and will launch in MA and NJ January 2018. MSRP: $39.
Indiana-sourced bourbon gets a distinct burgundy-amber color in the Napa Valley Heritage Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey (47.5% ABV). Tommyrotter’s team handpicked French oak bourbon barrels and transported them to the Buffalo distillery, where the whiskey was rebarreled and finished for four months. The French oak barrels — selected for their Napa Valley origins and depth of flavor — previously housed a 2012 Heritance Cabernet Sauvignon. With its deep black cherry and plum notes and full-bodied caramel and light smoke finish, this bourbon is best enjoyed neat or on the rocks.
The Napa Valley Heritage Cask Straight Bourbon Whiskey is part of Tommyrotter’s Masterwork Collection, an annual limited release that will showcase spirits distilled with a high degree of experimentation and interesting cask finishes. This current one-time release is limited to a production of 2,500 bottles. This product will be available in CT, MA, NJ, and NY. MSRP: $69.99

Founded by Bobby Finan and Sean Insalaco, Tommyrotter Distillery opened its doors in July 2015. The distillery resides in a 116-year-old converted factory in Buffalo, New York’s historic hydraulic manufacturing district. THE TOMMYROTTER LIBRARY OF PRODUCTS AMERICAN GIN is pot-distilled in small batches to articulate a deliberate blend of infused herbs, fruits, roots, and flowers. CASK STRENGTH BOURBON-BARREL GIN is, like the American Gin, pot-distilled in small batches to emphasize the signature herbaceous, citrus flavor. Aged in White American Oak char barrels, the spirit is then passed through a light particle filter to remove residual charcoal fragments from the barrel. The result is a 61% ABV gin with notes of apricot, clove spice, and citrus peel. Part of Tommyrotter’s Masterwork Collection, the Cask Strength Bourbon-Barrel Gin is a limited production of 3,600 bottles.
