Hollywood, CA(Spiritsman)12/21/12/—Everybody seems to be getting into the flavored Vodka act with new launches almost every week, but Van Gogh Vodka are the pioneers. The Dutch distiller has now launched a very unique Vodka called PB& J Vodka, which consists of peanut butter and raspberry jelly. I actually just tried it with tonic water, and loved the flavor of peanuts with this drink.

It is also a classy looking bottle, looking good at any private bar, and a great buy for $27. Alcohol content is 35% by volume/70 proof.

Based at the Cooymans Distillery in Tilburg, Master Distiller Tim Vos created the vodka by using a double-infusion method using premium grain alcohol.

Also in the mix from Van Gogh is Double Expresso Vodka, which was originally launched in 2005. Ingredients used in this Vodka are cracked espresso beans and premium grain alcohol. Natural flavoring helps this vodka smell and taste just like a bold, rich cup of espresso although very smooth.

I tried it with just milk and although frankly I failed to get much of a buzz, the drink which also costs $27, was certainly a pleasant tasting experience. Coffee beans are from Columbia, and provide a taste of caramel and a touch of sweetness. There is also a hint of bitterness in the taste that adds to the complexity and balance of the drink.

In other news from Van Gogh they have hooked up with pop star Cyndi Lauper to support the Give a Damn Campaign which supports equal rights for gays, lesbians, and transgenders. Van Gogh launched the celebrity T-Shirt Project which has garnered the support of people like Alan Cummings, Jane Lynch and Chelsea Handler. These very limited edition T-Shirts entirely funded by Van Gogh have almost sold out at press time. Laupers favorite cocktail tends to change with her mood, but at last count it was the Van Gogh Blue Triple Wheat Martini with blue-cheese stuffed olives.
