Hollywood, CA(Spiritsman)11/24/12/—Prosecco is a drink I can never tire of, and ENZA is one you should look out for at your local liquor store starting in December. Launched by Deutsch Family Wine and Spirits, Enza retails for $14.99, and is made out of DOC grapes from the Treviso region of Italy. The packaging is also very slick and classy pinpointing the Italian elements of style and sensuality.

To quote Deutsch marketing director Renato Reyes. “When we developed the brand, we wanted to create the image of sophistication and style, hat is synonymous with Italy. We are delighted with the fun and fiery design that truly brings ENZA to life.”

This sparkling wine, which incidentally mixes and matches with a wide range of foods, has a hint of honey an tropical fruit such as honeysuckle, green apple and peach, and a slight touch of citrus thrown in. ENZA is produced by the Soligo cooperative which was established in 1957, in collaboration with the Pozzi family. The Soligo cooperative has been family owned for three generations and represents families of growers in the Prosecco DOC region who share a passion for the drink.

Prosecco is starting to become more popular by the day, and is equally popular with men and women. It can by tried by itself of course, but is also a thoroughly enjoyable concoction when mixed with orange juice.

In reality wine experts have had a rather negative view of Prosecco, and to make that point I quote wine expert Tom Stevenson ho wrote this several years ago in his comprehensive reference book ‘Sotheby’s Wine Encyclopedia.’ “This grape is responsible for producing a great deal of very ordinary Italian sparkling wine. Latin lovers adore the soft bubbly produced by this grape, but the vast majority is boring, and it will take a revolution in quality to convince me that the grape is suitable for dry sparkling wines.”

Maybe that revolution is starting to happen judging by the increased selection of Prosecco wines available at the likes of Whole Foods and BevMo. ENZA just adds to that perception, and is well worth having in your holiday drinks cabinet.
